Specifically, most website owners have failed to SELECT and USE the right keywords on their website.

- too few keywords were chosen
- the wrong keywords were installed on the site
- or no keywords were targeted.

- An office furniture and relocation company with yearly revenues in the tens of millions of dollars. Yet they’ve made no sales from their website, and this is their 2nd version (that I know of)…
- A wine retailer with more than 10 years in business and an e-commerce website for online sales…
- World-famous internet marketers who coach private clients and charge 5k or 10k to attend their “closed door” sessions…
And the list could go on and on.
Now, the real question is…

So the simple fact remains… most websites are crippled by poor keyword usage.
Most of the bigger companies work around this fault.
Which is why many of them don’t even know that their website is crucially flawed. For the websites used in the examples above, each business used a different strategy to work around the issue. They used…
- large sales forces making cold calls to generate sales
- have a retail store and don’t “expect much” from the web
- or use thousands of affiliate marketers to drive traffic to the site

Based on my experience working with clients, at LEAST 90% of those sites have poor (or NO) proper keywords loaded on their site.
In fact, whenever a client wants us to work with them, the VERY FIRST thing I do is to check out their keywords.
So when I say that your web developer might be to blame, please understand that I’m not saying that web developers are doing something intentionally.
It’s not as if there’s a conspiracy out there.
The simple fact is that 99% of most web developers literally have NO IDEA ABOUT KEYWORDS.
They don’t know how to research them.
How to select them.
Or choosing the right keywords for your business.
So it’s not exactly THEIR fault.
See, web developers are programmers. And graphic designers. They can make pretty websites, and functional websites. They can code some cool features for your website.

Chances are you simply assumed that since they know how to build websites, that they also knew how to build SUCCESSFUL websites.
